Background:
Karen’s life has been about achievement, tolerance, harmony and collaboration with others who have similar values. That’s reflected in her novels and short stories which feature people living through critical life transitions.
Karen is an author who has been writing since 2004 having completed two manuscripts and numerous short stories. She has improved her skills through creative writing courses and membership in three different writers groups. Currently she is the President of the Canadian Authors Association, Niagara Branch, and Coordinator for the Fiction Writers Group. Qualifications include articles published in The Globe and Mail and a few community newspapers. This year she published a short story The Canal of Destiny in Quick Brown Fox following a reading at CJ’s Café in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Karen has discovered that being a writer and struggling for publication requires inspiration. The poem that best describes her attitude to this sometimes frustrating process is from Invictus; I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul.
